Hello there.
I am Lukas Spychalski.
- I live in Aachen, Germany, with my wonderful wife and our two amazing daughters.
How I make a difference
- At heart, I am a designer. I design systems, and I care about how they feel to the people who use them every day. From usability, user experience and customer experience to brand experience and the way an identity is perceived.
- I always look at the big picture and how all the pieces click together.
- I think in structures and processes, guided by logic and common sense. Not to make things more complicated, but to make them simple and built to last.
- Ideas are where it starts, not where it ends. I make things decidable, and I keep at them until they stick.
- I have the good fortune to do all of this, heart and soul, as Chief of Staff at the MedAix Health Group.
Where I lose track of time
- I grew up on the competitive dance floor, and I never really left.
- There is nothing like being one with the music, your partner and yourself. And there is nothing like getting others hooked on it.
- I reached the S Klasse, the highest class in latin american dancesport in the DTV.
- I danced in the 1. Bundesliga, the highest national formation dance league, with the A-Team of the ATSC Blau-Silber Aachen e.V.
- Today, I pass it on. As a DTV-certified trainer (licence B), as head-coach for competitive latin american dancing at TSC Grün-Weiß Aquisgrana Aachen e.V., and as a teacher of social ballroom dancing at the HSZ of RWTH Aachen University.
- And I regularly stand on the other side of the floor, as a DTV adjudicator (licence S latin and C standard).
What shaped me
- I was born and raised in Mönchengladbach, Germany, by my lovely parents.
- I studied Computer Science, with a minor in Business Administration, at RWTH Aachen University.
- I wrote my diploma thesis at the Media Computing Group.
